特定のモチーフを繰り返すことで機能が生まれるオブジェクト

奈良県の最南端に位置する十津川村で活動されている木工作家・デザイナーの村尾守さんが主宰する〈MURAO〉。
様々な樹種の材を用い、削り出したパーツを繋ぎ合わせることで特定のモチーフがリピートされたような造形のオブジェクトを制作されています。

木材でできているとは思えない独特のフォルムは一見して目に楽しいものですが、それが高い技術に裏付けされた作品であることは手にとっていただけると実感できるもの。
これは村尾さんが木工作家であり、感性に優れたデザイナーでもあるからこそ生まれた作品群であると思います。

トレイをはじめとするOTシリーズは”驚きの道具(Oops! tool)”という意味が込められており、特徴的なフォルムでありながら実用的な機能を兼ね備えています。横にして少しのものを乗せるトレイとしてはもちろん、立てたままインテリアオブジェクトとしても飾っていただけます。
